GitHub Plugin Sync moves WordPress plugins and themes between GitHub and your site, straight from the admin.

Works on any host

Git mode uses the server's git for fast, full-history operations.
No-Git mode downloads a GitHub ZIP to pull and uses the GitHub API to push, so it works on cPanel and shared hosting where Git is not available.

Secure by design

Every action needs administrator rights. GitHub tokens are encrypted at rest and never displayed, shell arguments are escaped and target folders are limited to your plugins and themes directories.

Good to know

It installs code from GitHub rather than WordPress.org, so it is meant for developers working on sites and repositories they control.
